[Life in Holloway's Keep had become pretty routine for Logan. Breakfast in the morning. Spending time with Mimmi in the afternoon. Running in the evening. Then smoking a cigar by the bonfire after night fell. There wasn't much here to disrupt his life. Logan was content.
Tonight would be no different. He and Mimmi had went their separate ways for the night and Logan wandered out to his favorite patch of grass by the fire. It was funny how the grass had seemed to take the shape of him as he plopped down on the familiar spot. He lit his cigar freshly rolled cigar and bit down on the end.
So this place wasn't the best. But he was happy here. And Logan wasn't going to trade that for anything in the world.]

Victor didn't know how he'd gotten to the Keep and he hadn't given the book left in his room more than a cursory look before leaving, his boots tromping heavily as he prowled the halls. He was looking for anyone that he could question and it it required a bit of... encouragement then so be it. He'd never been bothered by using force in the past and that hadn't changed.
Fortunately for those residents of the barracks, while he smells people, he doesn't find anyone else out. Unfortunately, that means he expands his search and once he's outside, it's only a matter of time before he sees and smells the bonfire a short distance across the Green. There's a trace of something familiar mixed with the smell of smoke, and Victor wants to know what it is... what Victor wants, Victor finds.
He's nearly halfway across the Green when the scent clears, no longer mulled by the scent of tobacco and woodsmoke. He'd wondered how he'd gotten here, and one whiff of that scent gives him the likely answer; and that answer is sitting with his back to him.]
I don't know how you pulled it off, Jimmy... But I'm going to have a great time beating the answers out of you.
[Hey there, Bub... Gonna shit in your bowl of complacent cornflakes now, 'kay.]

Still he's going to be surprised when he sees Victor.
It's late, so he doesn't see many people outside of the barracks. And the people he does see often do not bother him, so when his ear picks up the distinct sound of...something, he doesn't pay it any mind. Probably just another resident groping their way through the dark.
The sound is getting closer and finally his instincts tell him no, there was something off about the purposeful stride. It was strangely familiar, belong to someone his brain was trying to recall. He smells the air as the stranger gets closer and the scent strikes Logan with such a sense of familiarity that he simply cannot ignore it.
And then Victor speaks and Logan knows that voice. From where? Not a clue. Who does it belong to? Logan hasn't the faintest idea. But he knows that voice and he's getting up and turning to stare Victor down.]
You can try it, bub. But you ain't gonna like the outcome.

Oh I live for the opportunity, little brother... Each and every time, and it never gets old.
[His stance shifts ever so slightly, his trench coat hanging loosely around his legs.]
I said I'd be the one to kill you...
[And then he's charging with a roar, moving to all fours and springing bodily at Logan from nearly ten feet away. Not too human a move, is it, Logan? Sure, he could ask questions first, but where was the fun in that?]

[Logan is paying attention, because his fingers curl into fists as his claws slide out of his hands. The little brother comment gives him pause long enough for realization to dawn on him. This was Victor. He wasn't sure how to react because Logan can't quite recall what Victor had done to make Logan hate him so. But soon all of that is dismissed in favor of adrenaline and rage.
Victor isn't he only here with questions.
Logan's roar matches Victor's in ferocity, as he dashes forward. If anyone was asleep in barracks they may not be anymore. When they're close, when Victor's scent is nearly overpowering, Logan rears back his fist and aims straight for Victor's shoulder.]

Being in close allows him to rip in with those claws of his own, tearing at Logan's sides and chest with a howl of anger.
You couldn't remember why you were so mad, Jimmy? Maybe it was because he fake killed your betraying no good girlfriend. Silly to still be mad at him, really, because it wasn't him that REALLY killed her in he end anyway. And you guys totes bro'd it up when you fought 'Deadpool'. Ahh well.
He's going to try to pin you now, Logan, using his body weight to hold you down. Oh, and watch out for those teeth, because they're snapping at your face and throat, too.]
no subject
Speaking of girlfriends, you're awful close, Vicki. You get a good whiff of the new one yet?
Logan's not having much success at getting free, but he fends off Victor's attempts to bite his throat with his claws.]
Who the hell are you?
[Sure Logan's fighting to keep his face where it is. But there's always time for these important questions.]
no subject
And then there's the smell. Oh, Logan... things are going to be so much worse before they were better. The even is female and it lingers all over his half-brother... it lingers in the same way that Kayla's scent lingered. He's about to mock and bait, but then Logan speaks and the question, spoken so honestly and openly (despite the struggle and the fact that Logan's claws were stabbed straight through his left shoulder) gives Victor pause.]
You're kidding, right?
[The words are snarled practically in Logan's face, his nails digging at him. But there's a bit of doubt there, underneath he violence.]
no subject
Oh big bro, nobody told you? When you left Stryker showed up and shot him in the head. Can't leave your little brother alone for 10 minutes can you?]
Does it look like I'm kidding, bub?
[DOES LOGAN LOOK LIKE A MAN WHO JOKES RIGHT NOW?]
no subject
And those scent markers are telling him that Logan is genuinely and truly confused by what's happening. His fangs are still bared, but even with Logan's adamantium claws dug into him, Victor hesitates. He's searching his face, words a low growl when he speaks.]
Well isn't this sweet... what the hell happened to you, Jimmy? You're not kidding... I could smell it on you if you were...
[He pulls back ever so slightly, still not letting him up. What's better? His should has healed around Logan's claws. Yeah, that's hella awkward, right?
Btw, never letting you anywhere, Jimbo.]
We need to get your memory back, Jimmy... No fun ripping your arms off in front of your lady friend if you can't remember me.
no subject
[Logan's voice is a growl and he pushes his hand against Victor's shoulder, as if to prove his point. For a moment, he remembers finding Kayla, drenched in blood, and how her pumpkin berated him for not stopping Victor. He wasn't going to let the same thing happen to Mimmi. He simply wasn't.
But at least they were finally making progress. At least Victor wasn't trying to bite him anymore.]
You're Victor, right? Who is Stryker? [Cause he's next once I'm done with you.] And who the hell is 'Jimmy?'
I never got the notiffffffff /types fast!!!
You sure you can keep this one alive, Wolverine? You don't have the best track record, you know... [He sneers the words, blood sliding down those adamantium claws and dripping onto Logan without a blink.] Maybe I could just say hi... I've got an awful good way with the ladies.
[When he wasn't trying to kill them or use them as his toys. And then the taunting stops and Victor's brows draw in tightly as he studies his brother from mere inches away.]
You ain't fucking kidding, are you, Jimmy? You really don't remember... [He'd left before Stryker shot Logan in the head, not really caring what happened after their bro-ment. He begins to laugh again and lifts off Logan, unfortunately, his hand is going for your throat, dear, so you're going to get up with him if he gets ahold of you.]
Oh, little brother... this is going to be far more fun then I thought. [Did he care that Logan couldn't remember him? Nope.] Don't worry, Jimmy, you'll remember before I kill you... maybe I'll let you watch your girlfriend die this time... Maybe you're relationship is real this time and she'll care that I rip you to shreds.

Logan grunts as Victor's hand grips his throat and lifts him up. He finally slips his hand free from Victor's shoulder so he could at least try to keep Victor from choking him.]
You go near her and I'm gonna gut you.
[Or hey maybe he'll go ahead and do that. He swings his arm back and aims straight for Victor's side.]
no subject
He hefts Logan up, holding him with one hand nearly crushing around his throat.]
I could get used to this whole 'forgetting me' thing. [That smile he's showing you night now? Not good.] I'll take extra good care of her, Jimmy. She'll never miss yo-
[And then the little shit scores successfully in his side, pain drawing a roar from Victor. Problem is? Victor is reactive, not reflective. He shifts his grip, taking hold of Logan even while those claws are digging in, and he's just going to try to fling you bodily. Today we're teaching Logan's how to fly!!!]
no subject
Logan lands with a pained grunt, but he's grateful Victor's finally let him go. His throat can finally start healing from the damage. He doesn't stay down long, rolling up onto his knees and baring his teeth at his brother.]
This ain't got nothin' to do with her. It's between you an' me.
[Not that Logan knows what this grudge match is all about.]
no subject
You know what's awesome? The fact that Victor ain't even mad when Logan turns to snarl at him. In fact, if anything, he looks excited and rather eager. His canines flash in a wide open grin as he shifts his stance, clawed nails growing even more. If you didn't know any better, you might honk he was enjoying himself... protip: he was.
He had always tried to get Logan to embrace his inner beast, as he had done years before, bu his brother had never done so. But when they fought... oh when they fought, Victor saw that violent animal leaping for release. It would just take the proper shove to get it out of Logan... Have you noticed that he's only slightly favoring his side, Logan? That he seems to have the exact same mutation as you, save for a lack of metal on the entirety of his claws? Isn't that curious...
Me an' you, Jimmy? Are you sure about that? Do you even know? [Deliberately goading and baiting... it often worked... would it still?]

I want answers, bub. And you got 'em.
[Logan's really looking the beast part. His hair is wild and his claws are out and he's looking ready to tear something, anything that gets in his way apart. And there is no Kayla - or Mimmi for that matter - here to remind him that he is not an animal. Victor may just get what he wants.]
Tell me. Before I gut you. Slowly.
